HUMAN RIGHTS

The People's Movement for Human Rights Education is a remarkable movement as you will quickly see if you have the time to look at the Shulamith Koenig's website. Reading the content of this very usable website, I was reminded that the struggle to win these internationally recognized human rights was a long and arduous one. I am also reminded how easy it is to lose rights so dearly won.

The links listed below allow the reader to view the Vincentian issues for 2004-2005 from a human rights perspective.

Shulamith Koenig, founder of PDHRE, offers us a timely challenge:

"We will accept nothing less than human rights.
We will know them and claim them,
For all women, men, youth and children,
From those who speak human rights,
But deny them to their own people."
