In this time of darkness, in this time of violence and aggression, when world leaders have seen war as a solution; when the huge divisions between rich and poor have been accentuated; in a time when a wall of division has been built across the Shepherds’ fields, Lord, have mercy. Gracious God, we pray that we may have the wisdom and courage to re-dedicate ourselves to the ways of Peace. May we be part of a community that heals divisions, rejects violence as a solution, brings down walls of fear and bitterness and allows all to be included at the world’s table.
